Traumatic Events / Systems / Symptoms are Rooted in a Lack of Love for Self/Other and Healing Traumatic Events / Systems / Symptoms are Rooted in Love for Self/Other
Self = The body/mind and all of the thoughts, feelings, bacteria, and so forth that inhabit you
Other = Person, Plant, Animal, Environment, Family, Systems, Community, Culture, Country, Bugs, etc
Expressions of Love to the Other/Self - Patience, Kindness, Self-Control, Forgiveness, Curiosity, Making Sure Self/Other Has Quality Basic Needs met such as Water, Nutrition, Shelter, Education, Health
Traumatic Symptoms are on a Spectrum and Vary Widely, but can be clustered into Two Main Categories – HyperVigilant and HypoVigilant Symptoms/Coping Behaviors
Examples of HYPERvigilant Symptoms/Coping Behaviors – Muscle Tension, High Blood Pressure, High Levels of Anxiety, Violence toward others, Saying Unkind things to others, Lack of Healthy Boundaries, Fawning/Masking (ie: Pretending to agree with someone you disagree with) Extreme Risk-Taking, Substance Abuse, Uncontrollable Rage against the Other (it's all their fault, they're unworthy), Murder of Other
Examples of HYPOvigilant Symptoms/Coping Behaviors – Low Blood pressure, Flaccid Muscles, Depression, Violence toward the Self, Lack of Healthy Boundaries, Dissociation, Fawning/Masking (ie: Saying you're Okay when You're Not), Saying Unkind Things to the Self, Rage against the Self (ie: it's all my fault, I'm unworthy), Hopelessness, Substance Abuse, Murder of Self
HyperVigilance and HypoVigilance Often Ping-Pong back and forth
Traumatic Events and Systems Effect Everyone Differently due to How much Love or Lack of Love was involved or not involved through their Life
For Example, Nutritional Trauma – Due to a Lack of Love in Our Health Care System and for our Environment, Plants, Soil, Worms, Water (Less than 20% of medical schools require doctors to receive even *one* class in nutrition even though these are the building blocks we need to have good physical & mental health, children are not taught in Schools how to Love and take care of plants)
Emotional/Mental/Developmental/Relational Trauma – May show up as a Lack of Love and Loving Behaviors and Thoughts toward the Self/Others/Families
Traumatic Events (Accidents, Abuse, Rape, etc) may Result In Chronic Emotional/Mental Trauma (Violent thoughts/Behaviors toward Self or Others) and these Traumatic Coping Behaviors may become patterns throughout a lifetime if the person who experiences these events does not receive adequate support/love to heal
If You Have Love for Yourself but Not for Other Selves Near You, then this may be Because You Lack Love for Other Selves
If You Have a Lack of Love for Others, this is Not Your Fault!!! This is Because our Families, Cultures, and Systems Lack Love due to Traumatic Events and Systems
If Your Families have Love and Other Families Near You Have a Lack of Love this may be Because Your Families have Not Been Loving Other Families Near You to Make sure that they Have All the Expressions Of Love They Need to Heal Traumas Which Result from a Lack of Love
I take responsibility for the lack of Love I see in my Relationships and Community. I know that it is Also Not My Fault for the Lack of Love that I see in my Relationships and Community. I could not love others because I did not truly even love myself. I first had to Learn to Love My Self and Understand How that the Self was Connected to all of the Others. Now I am on the Path to Loving
EveryOne, my entire world rainbow family. I know Loving Boundaries is the way to get there, where I say with Love to Self and Other: That is Not a Kind/Loving thing that you are doing, What do you Need so that you Learn Loving Kindness and Healthy Boundaries?
